Chicago is the 3rd most populated city in the United States. It’s an easy place to get lost...or hide, if you’re a criminal. In 2017, Northwestern Professor & microbiologist Wydam Lathem was secretly planning a crime from behind his computer keyboard. Dr. Lathem was the last person anyone would have ever suspected of committing murder...until an anonymous phone call was made to the front desk of his luxury apartment building. The mysterious voice on the other end told the receptionist, “There may have been a crime committed in room 1004...You need to check it out.” Once police gained access, they were met with a horrific & bloody scene...but the man whom the Chicago condo belonged to, Wydam Lathem,...was already long gone.
