On a frigid Iowa morning in January of 2024, a woman arrived at her best friend’s home to pick her up for a coffee date. Almost immediately, there were signs that something was terribly wrong. Trusting her instincts, she entered the residence—only to be met with one of the most grisly and horrific scenes imaginable. The ensuing investigation proved to be a twisting road of violence, religion, and bizarre tangents—all leading back to the person who was supposed to be the victim’s most trusted caretaker…
